Blood Mountain Cabins
Today was our 1st 0 day! Honestly we need it after almost 16 miles yesterday, especially because it poured almost all day. The thunder and lightning were fun to watch from the safety of our nice little cabin home. We did absolutely nothing today other than eat and drink, it was lazy and lovely. Kayla and I got up around 8:30 and took our laundry to the general store (for free!).
When we got back everyone was awake and we made a group effort to cook a phenomenal breakfast. I had 0 signal all day so I literally just laid on the couch and drank PRB. Erika and Drew are literally the coolest couple ever, we call the "the Potters" because they do pottery and are so laid back and funny. David is super sweet and down the earth, and Katy from Gooch joined us today! We all joked and chatted the entire day.
We walked in the rain to Mountain Crossings and I got some food, I wanted to upgrade some stuff to lighten up my pack but I got so overwhelmed. I feel good about what I have, but when I compare it to everyone else I get super self conscious about my gear. As nice as today has been I'm ready to get back on trail (and prove my pack isn't too big!) Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and we're planning 11 miles- woohoo!
