Neel Gap - Low Gap Shelter
Today was a great day! The weather couldn't have been better and we covered a decent amount of miles and got more trail magic! King Tutt and Betty had all kinds of goodies for us before we climbed Wildcat Mountain which was hard...
Once we got to the top we were pretty much just walking along the ridgeline which was beautiful. We had lunch somewhere on this incredible rockface and had such pretty views.
Since we all left the cabin together we hung out all day. Drew was way faster so we didn't see him, but Erika, Katy, and David hiked close by all day. I know we won't stay together forever, but I feel like we have a happy little tramily. We are all camping together tonight and sitting around visiting- it's super low-key and wholesome.
Since today was so nice I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I feel so thankful to be out here and to be able to pursue this dream. I keep thinking about how people say "the trail provides" and I feel like God is providing all these cool special moments. I hope I am this happy and optimistic the new few days because the weather is supposed to be gross. Hopefully all my sleep stuff stays dry and we will be happy and healthy. Planning for low milage days in the rain. Woohoo!
